We all knew it was too good to be true - Sony has had a slight trip up with the release of this year’s most anicipated PS3 exclusive. Sony have released a statement about the reasons for the delay:
During the review process prior to the release of LittleBigPlanet
, it has been brought to our attention that one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur’an. We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologise for any offence that this may have caused.
We will confirm the new launch date shortly.
It sounds like a pretty irresponsible mistake from the SCEE, but thats the way of the world. I for one don’t look upon this lightly, as a Muslim gamer myself. A release date of November 14th is expected.
I guess this means you have more time to PREORDER the game then:
