You might remember a while back, I let you know that Burnout would be going Biker! This was a brave new move for the previously car-exclusive racer, but one that went down well with the crowd. Today the PlayStation Blog dished out some more saucy bites for us PS3 junkies. This time around, Criterion Producer Jeremy Chubb let us know that the Burnout patch that had us all on the edges of our seats will be released on September 18th. Best of all (though we had a nudge earlier on), it’ll be FREE! Yes, 100% FREE! Don’t you just love that word?

Along with the bikes, the update will come with 38 new racing events, which signals a possibility of some new areas in the game (which, by the way we predicted at the bottom of this article), as well as 70 new Freeburn chalenges and dynamic weather and a 24hr day and night system.

Sounds to me like Criterion are relly stepping up to the plate, with the absence of a really exceptional Racing game this gaming season… lets just hope their next game is equally as good!

Seeing as it’s coming up to the holiday season, why not treat yourself or a loved one by buying Burnout below:
