Mirror’s Edge is the upcoming First Peron Action Adventure game, due for release later this year (hopefully it won’t be delayed) on 360, PS3 and PC platforms. We now have confirmation that the PS3 version will include exclusive downloadable content from Sony themselves, but we’re all waiting for more news on this mysterious game, which no one knows much about just yet.
All that is known about the game for definite is that it’s in first person (mentioned already), the game will have more freedom than your typical/traditional First Person Action Adventure game, as it allows you to crouch, shimmy and do all that other good stuff that we obviously do whenever we have to go on an adventure!
The game is set in a totalitarian state, where communication is intercepted and heavily censored/monitored. There are, as usual, some ‘rebels’ who can’t help but break the rules. The main character, Faith is one of the ‘runners’ who has to communicate with her fellows while evading the evil government. To be honest, I’m not incredibly excited about this game, but it sure sounds like one to watch, and maybe one which has a lot to offer (incluing exclusive PS3 content!). One thing that has caught my eye, though, is the cover art:
