Yup, they told me themselves! I signed up to the PlayOn! service for PlayStation and instead of a confirmation e-mail, I was told tgatr the service had received ‘a huge response’ already ‘and have identified a couple of critical issues that we want to resolve before allowing further downloads (including adding support for 64-bit Windows).’. Fair enough, but I’ll be sure to come up with a review for the service as soon as they’ve fixed these little bugs.
In case you don’t know what PlayOn! is, it’s a downloadable free service from MediaMall Technologies, which allows you to play Hulu, CBS, YouTube, ESPN and more on your TV via. your PS3, XBOX or HP MediaSmart TV. It sounds like a pretty unique and useful service, and I’m excited by the introduction of even more media capabilities for the PS3.
