Bioshock for the PS3 has been officially announced to be released for shipping on October 21st in North America, but, as ususal (though I’m tired of moaning about it), us European gamers will have to wait until October 24th for the long awaited game to hit our shelves. This game has been a collosal project for the worldwide 2K Games Team, involving 2K Marin, 2K Boston, 2K Australia and Digital Extremes teams to make sure that this game is much more than just a port.

The PS3 version is set to be souped up with all new PS3 Trophies, on top of the original XBOX 360 Achievements that came with the game. As well as this, it is expected that the game will be integrated with Home, the virtual reality world of PlayStation, in the form of games rooms. There will also be PS3 exclusive challenge rooms as well as all the downloadable content available for the original XBOX version.

This game is sure to pick up a few Game Of The Year awards, so that 2K can pile them high on top of their previous achievements. It’s pretty safe to say that most PS3 gamers are excited about this game and these new screens only heighten the incredible hype surrounding the game:
