Everyone rants about the PSP’s lifespan, but I reckon it’s worth having them around just to see the latest PSP hack or DIY on Engadget (LOL, they just can’t get enough). The latst is probably the only one in a long time to really catch my eye. A few months ago I mentioned the iWish, a PSP-Phone concept by Planet Mat, made famous by Joystiq.
One guy known only as jube808 went on a quest to ultimately soup up his PSP (apparently in spite of Sony’s lack of attention to detail). I reckon he must have a long time on his hands, because now he’s added touch screen to his own console, with a querty keyboard! The thing is… it’s stuck on overwrite (don’t you just hate overwrite?
That is one of two videos that this jube808 fellow has made, and it basically shows proof of a working (almost) keyboard. The second shows that…. it works (?):
If anyone really knows what the hell this video shows, for God’s sake let me know in a comment below or via. email (LOL). When jube808 gets in touch, I’ll… update (?).
Via. Engadget
UPDATE: The whole thing is pulled off with just an additional touch sensor. Amazing how a guy with a good reputation and a funny name (jube808 haha) can cause such a buzz with something so simple!
Thanks Phoenix!

i’m going to update the post now.

it’s an additional touch sensor over the real display, just like a guy did for the nokia n96 cell phone. google for it.
