I though I’d let you guys know where I go games shopping (and where I don’t go), just because I like a good bargain as much as the next guy/gal and I would like to share some of my spots with you lot. It’s true, I do buy quite a few games online, but that’s mainly because of the great discounts you’ll always find on Play.com or Amazon (I use the UK website).
On the roads, however, my favourite store by far is Game, closely followed by Gamestation. Game is a UK retailer, and probably the equivelant of the US’s Gamestop, of which I’ve only seen one of in good ole Brum (Birmingham). I’m now going to list my choice stops for games, and give a few reasons why.
- Game - The largest range of games on the High Street, always avalable, (nearly) always in stock.
- Gamestation - Always in stock, great discounts (and I mean HUGE), no queues (lol), great preowned section.

- Computer Exchange - Great prices on both new and used games, reat console bundles and prices, great trade-in price and membership is free!
- Blockbuster - Best trade-in prices on the High Street, Large range to rent, credits system when trading in.
- Amazon - Best for security online, trustworthy, great range, great discounts, free delivery.

- Play.com - Trustworthy, secure, cheap as chips, free delivery, great range, special offers.
That’s it! Those are my choice stops for both online and High Street purchases. But let me give you a tip now: stay away from Zavvi, HMV, and the like except for sale time. I walked into HMV one day, looking for MGS4, and I found it for £50! I nearly started crying. It was quite an awful sight, really. Anyway, take that advice and if you can, check out the shops I’ve pointed to in this post.
If you have any choice spots yourselves, why not drop in a comment below and let us all know where to bag a good bargain?
