Half of my PS2 collection is Platinum rather than the original version. There are 2 3 reasons for this: 1)They look cool XD 2) They’re £10 cheaper than the originals and 3) They’re more refined, and play more smoothly because most of the time adgistements have been made to the graphics.
For the same reasons, I’m glad Sony’s decided to kep the Platinum range. Right now it looks like the bestsellers of the platinum range are Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction. They’re both great titles and are joined by Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Resistance: Fall of Man and Ridge Racer as well as a few others (with really, really long names!).
I’m pretty excited because Play.com is offering most of the platinum range for just £15 each! I would seriously consider filling some of the gaps in my collection with a few future classics like Uncharted and Genji: Days of the Blade.
