It’s a bit late, but better late than never. If you don’t have a clue what the hell Project Abraham is, here we go. PA is the Resistance 2 ARG website. and it (supposedly) tells the story between the first and secnd games and everything else that is vital to the game’s plot in both games etc. I know, even I don’t understand it, except for the fact that it is a drama series based on the Resistance world (the world of Nathan Hayle) and that I’m going to attempt to fill you guys in on the story so far. Still don’t get it? Ah well. You soon will!
Episode 1:
This episode starts of with the viewer (you) on a hospital stretcher, being rushed to the… ward. The girl walking/running with you is begging the doctors to stop: “you’re killing him,” etc. That’s about it!
A notoriously short episode, but ther we go. I guess this is vital to the Pre-Resistance 2 experience.
Episode 2:
Watching the second episode tells me that these clips are meant to be brief, to the point, but not giving away too much.
This installment sees the same girl that was shouting for your rescue in the first episode, apologising to a certain doctor character for her actions.
We can gather that the story is set in a kind of special hospital (dedicated to the Chimera virus?) and that the guy on the stretcher in the first episode is infected (Nathan Hayle?).
The doctor dude is a little suspicious of the infected patient (Hayle?) and wants to keep him under wraps (kill him?), while the girl is set upon treating him. The episode ends with a ground shaking… shake, and shots of some soldiers rushing to the epicenter… Maybe the patient has escaped!
Episode 3:
We immediately see the caring girl at the infected guys bed (no, silly. Not like that!). A soldier dude walks in (a colonel) and basically tells her that this infected guy can’t be helped. He then asks her for a ‘recommendation’.
We learn in this episode that this place is not a hospital, it’s an experimental station kinda thing, and that the girl (name not revealed… yet) has to choose who will be infected with the virus (that’s her ‘recommendtaion’). Now, the girl’s not too happy about this: “I am not a soldier, I’m a psychologist”. In the end, she’s told that it’s an order… Poor her!
So that’s all for now. When the next episodes come up, I’ll fill you guys in. It’s a pretty interesting promotion tool on Insomniac’s/Sony’s part. Ver unique, what do yo think?
