Well? 2008 will be seeing classics like Street Fighter 2 improved and rereleased, and also classics like Bionic Commando and Joint Strike being reborn. So, will this year be the year of classics? And, if it is, will it mean that the current gen consoles (PS3, 360 and Wii) will be remembered as the ressurectors of old school gaming? Let me just say this: I HOPE SO!
Wouldn’t that just be the bees knees (sorry for the horrible phrase, bit excited). I have also heard rumours of Bomberman coming to consoles later this year, so the line of coming classics is only growing.
Actually, I think 2008 could be gaming’s golden year. Modern games like GTA IV and MGS 4 have shaken the gaming world, and changed the face of gamiong significantly, raising the bar for all 3 current gen consoles. I have also noticed the genre of First Person Shooter games changing significantly, with games such as Call of Duty 4 topping charts for a good month and a half, and games such as Haze, which show the niche’s improvement and the possibilities that the genre can reach with just a little bit of work.
You know what? here on PlayStation Heads , 2008 will always be gaming’s wonder year in our books (until the next comes).
