Best of the Gaming Blogosphere – Best Blogs
This is my first (proper) series of posts. I’m basically going to show you my top picks from the gaming blogosphere.
I thought I’d show some link love to some of the bloggers I look up to in my chosen niche of Video Gaming, to show you what I like and maybe help you guys and girls out as well. And, just to make this clear, I’m not going to include myself into this list, because, sadly, I don’t look up to myself!!!
Best Overall Gaming Blogs

1. Kotaku – Arguably the most popular and most frequently updated gaming blog on the web (that I have come across). The guys at Kotaku are pretty damn good at what they do. Check them out and if you like them, why not subscribe?
2. Joystiq – With a network of blogs devoted to each popular console (handheld included), Joystiq is fast catching up with Kotaku. I’m currently subscribed to PS3 Fanboy, a great source for news and stuff LOL. But, there are also Wii Fanboy, XBOX 360 Fanboy and PSP fanboy.

3. Destructoid – This is a privately run blog, maintained my the D’Toid Community (and a great one at that) as well as the group of mates that created the site. The blog also has a pretty kickass community blog featyre, much like the IGN Blogs feature. Destructoid and it’s community are my personal favourite for character, content and community.
4. Slashdot Games – Slashdot is one of the leading tech blogs in the game, and it’s gaming section isn’t one I’ve always been a fan of, until very recently (as in 2 days ago lol). Anyway, the stuff I find on there I can;’t find anywhere else. It’s good for finding the real quirky facts, interviews and whatnot.
5. Guardian Games – Well, some of my international readers may have never heard of The Guardian, I’ll fill you lot in. The Guardian is the UK’s best Newsie. Well best good newsie, andyway, and they have a really good games section that you would never expect from a newspaper. They also have a network of blogs, one of which is for games. I love it, although it is a newspaper, the blog does conduct itself as a real blog, with character and all that stuff you get from me (hehe). Check it out. One of my faves.
That’s it for the first post of the series. The next will be the best posts of the Video Gaming Blogosphere. Stay tuned.
