Pimp your PlayStation: Volume 2!

Well, time has gone by since I did an essential accessories post (about 2 months now) and (I think) technology has advanced just a little bit, so I thought I’d do another one. If you want to read the Volume 1, click here. As in the last volume, I’m going to be giving you the best deals and value for money, mainly on the web, because the web is like, cheaper than the high street (in general).

Lets roll!

1. Sony KDL32S3000 – Best value HDTV: £439.99

I’m not surprised that this hasn’t changed position at all. Yes, if you haven’t already had a glance at Volume 1, this HDTV snatched the top spot. Anyway, for a 32″ HDTV equipped with the famous Bravia engine, £440 is a steal. A HDTV is pretty much the most wanted accessory (if you can call it that) for any games console around. Bargain, Buy it NOW!

2. HDMI Cable – What use is a HDTV without being able to hook yourself up? DUH!: £11.98

Just like I said, what use is a top of the range HDTV without a cable so you can hook it up. Now, you can get pretty decent quality cables for about £15 to £20, but online, you can get an elite one (can cables be elite?) from Amazon UK for prices starting at £5 for a used one, and only £12 for a brand new one. Not a huge purchase, get one now (if you need it)

3. For Movie Heads (hehe) – Blu-ray Disc Remote Control: £14.98

This price is for the official Sony remote, and you should be aware that there are many more, some of which look, work and , ummm, sound better(?) LOL.

Click here to see all the options.

Anyway, this is the official Sony remote control, made especially for the PS3. The price has been lowered from £17.99 down to £14.98. Not bad. Told you the internet wasn’t too shabby.

Ever wondered how your PS3 would look upright? Wonder no more!

4. Vertical Stand with USB Hub: £14.98

In case you didn’t notice, that was a joke (I know, I’m terrible). As with the remote, there are probably more versions of this vertical stand, but I would probably say that this one is the best. It comes with a extra USB hub! This basically means you’ll have your PS3 on legs (nearly) and you’ll have an extra slot for use with your games console/media hub

5. Bluetooth Wireless Headset: £24.99

This is a new one, and I’m testing it out at the moment, so I’ll see how it fares. So far, I would recommend it, and it is a brand new entry into the essential accessories countdown. Please note, that almost any Bluetooth Wireless Headset would work with your PS3, but this one is made specially for the PS3 for easy setup etc.

That’s all folks! (Maybe) expext another volume in the next few months.

Lets just say in 2 months time. Also, if you enjoyed this post, please click on the ‘Share This’ link below and share it. Thanks!
