Whoaaah. I was seriously surprised when I found out how to do this. I was messing around with the new Nokia N95 8GB, and I was trying to connect the phone with my PC, to get some music onto it. So I open a playlist in Windows Media Player, and 10-15 minutes later, I was done, listening to music on the phone, I even found a few holiday Pictures and Videos on there.
So, I thought I’d try it with my PS3, and HURAHH! It works!
Here we go…
What you need:
- A PS3/Whatever you want to stream to;
- A PC;
- Windows Media Player 11 (download here );
- System Software Version 1.8 or higher.
Tutorial:
Step 1
Open up Windows Media Player 11 and check if the tracks you want are in your Library.

Step 2
On the top Menu Bar, Select the ‘Tools’ menu, and then ‘Options’.

Step 3
Click on the ‘Library’ tab and then ‘Configure Sharing’. Makes sense, doesn’t it?

Step 4
Tick the box saying ‘Share my Media’. In the box below, you should see an ‘Unknown Device’, that’s your PS3 (or phone, iPod etc.)

Step 5
Select the ‘Unknown Device’ and make sure the ‘Allow’ button below the big white box is selected.
Step 6
If you want to stream all your media (i.e. Music, Images and Video), skip this step.
Click on the ‘Settings’ button, to the right of the window, and select the media you would like to transfer.

Step 7
Then, click ‘OK’. That usually means you’re done, just like it does now.
See, I told you it was easy. Feel free to, you know, subscribe or something useful like that.
