Step 2

Step 3

Now, on the menu bar, go to ‘Mode’ and select ‘IFO’. This is putting the changes you made in the previous step into practice.

Step 4

On the right of the Program window, select the main movie file, which should be the top one, or the one with the longest name. This means you will only be converting the movie file, excluding all the extra features and stuff.

Step 5

Still on the right side of the window, click on the ‘Stream Processing’ tab and select which files you want to include from the file you selected. I just select them all, because it’s normally just visual, audio and subtitles.

Step 6

Then you just press the Rip Button. Then you can sit back for 10-15 minutes while your PC works it’s ass off.

OK, so now you have copied your movie to your hard-drive, but you still have to convert the .vob (DVD) file to .mp4.

Converting your movie

Step 1

Open up Handbrake

Step 2

Under ‘Source’, click the ‘File’ option and then ‘Browse’. Then, look for the file you have just ripped onto your computer. It should be in the D:/ Drive, unless you’ve changed it. Look for the .vob file.

Step 3

Under ‘Destination’, specify where on your PC you want to store the MP4 version of the movie you are converting. Best place for this is you Documents, but anywhere is fine.

Step 4

Lastly, on the right side of the window, you will see a list of media systems. slect either PS3 or PSP and then click ‘Start’ at the top of thew window.

OR, if you want to convert more than one file, click ‘Add to Queue’.

Be warned, the conversion can take AGES, depending on the size of the file, so be patient and do something useful like, I don’t know, subscribing to PlayStation Heads.
